With the development of computer technology and network communicationtechnology, industrial control systems have undergone major changes in recent years.Networked Control Systems (NCSs) are also developing rapidly, and its main feature isthat the computer network is introduced in the control system, so that sensors, actuatorsand controllers can be connected via a network to complete the transmission of signals andthe switching of data. Compared to traditional point to point control systems, networkedcontrol systems can avoid the complexity of dedicated layouts, and also have ease ofresource sharing, remote handling, high flexibility and reliability of the system.Toimprove the system’s performance, the network is added into the traditional controlsystem network as the communication medium, but it also inevitably brought about thefollowing questions, such as the network-induced delay, packet-dropouts, out of order andso on. These problems not only affect the control systems’ performance, but also causesystems unstable in severe cases. Furthermore, when there is the sampling period jitter inthe system, making sampling period not accurate, it will also affect the stability anddynamic performance of the systems. Therefore, whether in the real area level, or in thetheoretical level, the research for networked control systems has very great significance. Inthis paper, by modern control theories and linear matrix inequalities, the modeling, analysis and control problems for NCSs with sampling jitter are solved. Details are asfollows.First of all, in the case of the presence of jitter in the sample, the work of systemmodeling, stability analysis and stability analysis for NCSs with short time-varying delaysis conducted, and a new research of the finite-time stability problem is introduced. Byproposing a new uncertain network control system model and LMIs, the finite-timestability and stabilization problems of NCSs with sampling jitter are shoveled.Secondly, the stabilization problem for a class of networked control systems withsampling jitter, short time-varying delays and packet-dropouts is solved. A new linearuncertain switched system with disturbance model is proposed to describe the consideredNCSs. The presented system model is simple yet useful. By the average dwell time method and the robust H∞control approach, sufficient conditions for the state feedbackproblem have been provided. All the obtained conditions are expressed in terms of linearmatrix inequalities. The numerical example illustrated the effectiveness of the methodproposed. Finally, based on the NetCon systems, the real network environment simulationapplications have been conducted, and the results demonstrated the effectiveness of thecontrollers.
