In modern society, diabetes mellitus (DM) has been a severe threat to the health ofpeople; the advantages of treating and preventing diabetes mellitus with combination oftraditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and western medicine are obvious, but at present,there is no standardized criteria for integrative treatment of DM, and the treatment effectdepends on the experience of TCM experts, while the heritage and utilization academicexperience of TCM are lacking of scientificity and integrity, which causing the academicknowledge of TCM is difficult to serve people widely and extensively; and then, in thispaper, a expert system based on the fusion of medical records and machine informationlearning has been designed to solve this problem. Academic experience of TCM doctorand professor Li Sai-mei and her team has been converted into a heritage and availablescientific knowledge in this paper, and been integrated into the expert system model toachieve the materialized of diagnosis and treatment knowledge of TCM doctor, forfurther research of expert system establishing the scientific basis and also exploringexpert system in the new ways for integrative treatment of DM.In the chapters of basic theories, firstly, this paper has analyzed the basic theories ofTCM: yin-yang, five phase and theory of five circuits and six qi, and based on theanalysis, this paper has summarized the key thought of TCM: all kinds of things shareseveral specific attributes, the TCM diagnosis and treatment is just a process ofcombination of pattern recognition and reasoning. And then, the definitions and theoremsrelated with formal concept analysis (FCA) and structural partial-ordered attributediagram (SPOAD) have been listed out, while the correlation between partial-orderedrelation, FCA and SPOAD has been analyzed. The advantages of SPOAD over conceptlattice has also been provided with their applications in all kinds of scientific researchfields, and the application in the field of data mining has been emphasized.In the chapter of analyzing and constructing expert system (ES), the overallarchitecture of expert system has been given out firstly, and then the process ofknowledge acquisition from the medical records has been introduced in detail; at the same time, the rule database has been constructed based on the algorithm of SPOAD,while the corresponding inference pattern has also been put forward.In the end chapter of realizing expert system, the expert system has been created onthe dot net platform, with the function and workflow of the expert system displayedsuccessfully.
