With the rapid development of science and technology, the fingerprint recognitiontechnology has been highly focused on. The cost performance of the fingerprint sensor andthe control chips is much higher, which results in that the fingerprint identification is usedfrom the traces framed to the civilian areas in recent years, and especially in access control,time and attendance, safes and other. The aim of this paper is investigating the flexibilityof the current fingerprint identification system for the low and high cost, the lowefficiency of the algorithm in the embedded chip is problem, and improving the efficiencyof fingerprint recognition algorithms in embedded systems. Then this method is applied ona STM32F103ZET6control chip, which effectively reduces the costs and increases theflexibility of the system. The main contents are illustrated as follows:First, this paper reviews the principle of domestic and foreign research status offingerprint identification and introduces some common fingerprint image processingmethods for fingerprint identification.Second, the fingerprint image pretreatment algorithm is observed on the basis ofSTM32F103ZET6embedded fingerprint identification system. And MATLAB software isselected for the simulations which are aiming at finding out a suitable algorithm formodeling on STM32F103ZET6. The results of the algorithm are displayed to measure therunning effect of the algorithm on STM32F103ZET6.Again, the algorithms of minutiae extracting and fingerprint matching are observedon the basis of STM32F103ZET6embedded fingerprint identification system. And theMATLAB software is selected for the simulation which is aiming at finding out a suitablealgorithm for modeling on STM32F103ZET6. The results of the algorithm are displayedto measure the running effect of the algorithm on STM32F103ZET6.Then, through comparing with the production of sensors from different companies,the system controller chip sensors FPC1011F3of STM32F103ZET6are chosen. Thepower modules of the system, communication modules between FPC1011F3andSTM32F103ZET6, buttons and buzzer module, JTAG module, STM32F103ZET6and PC communication module are researched.Finally, the transplantation of algorithm from MATLAB to STM32F103ZET6iscompleted. The results and efficiency of the algorithm based on the embedded fingerprintidentification system are obtained.
