In the mobile Internet and the big data era, it is very important of mining useful information frommassive data to help users make decisions. As an important database operation, the skyline query can getdata object which is not being dominated by any other data objects. Thus, research of Skyline queries hasattract more and more attentions. On the other hand, another technique called DTN (Delay TolerantNetwork) is also emerging. However, research of Skyline query over DTN is not fully explored. This paperstudies Skyline query over delay tolerant network environment. With full consideration to the uniquecharacteristics of DTN and Skyline operation, we propose a Skyline query method over delay tolerantnetwork environment. The main contributions of this paper are:1. According to the characteristics of delay tolerant network we propose a new information queryalgorithm-IA algorithm. To adapt the dynamic DTN, the algorithm simulates the natural behavior ofhuman social networks and forwards the query information according to the accuracy of the informationneighbor nodes. Experimental results show the efficiency and stability of the IA algorithm.2. Based on the IA algorithm, we further address the issue of Skyline query over DTN. And propose aSkyline query algorithm-DTN_Skyline over delay tolerant network. The DTN_Skyline algorithm usingnode filtering and data filtering strategy based on IA algorithm to reduce data traffic. Within the procedureof processing the queries, the data transfer paths are saved, and finally by these paths the results can becollected. Experimental results indicate that the method can reduces the amount of network traffic andimproves query response time.
