In recent years, the LCD industry is developing rapidly. From the early of largevolume, high power consumption and radiation of CRT display, now ultra low powerconsumption LCD monitors, and LCD photoelectric technology related industries hasbeen a qualitative leap. Liquid crystal display defect detection technology, is tovigorously promote the liquid crystal display is one of the important reasons ofdevelopment of the industry, the technology can improve the degree of automation ofLCD products quality and the production of LCD products. Polarizing film is anindispensable part of the liquid crystal display, and bonding quality between glasssubstrates directly influence the liquid crystal display effect. At present, for thedetection of the joint quality, still using manual eyeballing, such as affected byartificial subjective and result in higher failure rate. Therefore, it has a very importantpractical significance in developing the LCD polarizing film adhesion defectdetection system.This paper firstly introduces the development situation and application prospectof LCD display, further analyzes the current research status of LCD defect detectionat home and abroad. Detection according to the present situation of LCD polarizingfilm attached defects detection of machine vision image, the method of usingDM6446platform, based on Da Vinci, the detection scheme is applied to LCDpolarizing film attached defects.Secondly, from the patch process analysis of the polarizing film, polarizing filmattached to research on the causes of defects. The overall plan and design of detectionsystem, including the choice of platform, optical lighting device process design,system design. In the hardware, completed the main control module, power module,the hardware video module, communication module and debugging module and so ondesign principle. After the hardware platform based on video, before and after theenvironment, configuration of the ARM subsystem development builds system of endmodule, decoding module and bus control configuration. The image processingalgorithm of DSP system, mainly including the elimination of interlacing, color spaceconversion, image, filtering, morphological processing and DSP subsystemoptimization etc..Finally, on the basis of the testing platform, testing TN-LCD polarizing filmattached defects. Through experiments, the machine vision inspection of the systemcan realize the polarizing film attached defects, the degree of automation and replaceartificial visual, improve the sticking defect detection LCD polarizing film.The main innovation of this paper lies in the video monitoring platform based onDM6446, applied to TN-LCD detection, is expected to fill the blank of domesticTN-LCD polarizing film testing automation attached quality method. The developedequipment TN-LCD automation of defect detection with high performance price ratio, it has practical significance and reference value.
