As multiple base station cooperation can highly improve thetransmission rate, it received more and more attention in moderncellular communication system. Also it can increase the capacity andservice quality of the cell-edge users in system. However in many cooperative communication technology today, forusers in the cell center we also use BS cooperation technology which isnot a good choice for cell-center users, because the results of our studyshow that with power limit conditions at base station, sometimes basestation cooperation can not increase its data transmission rate. In fact, base station cooperation can improve the complexity of thecommunication system. Based on the presence of this reason, wechoose a fractional base station cooperation program to solve thisproblem. For cell-center users we choose traditional MIMOcommunication system. And for cell-edge users we use base stationcooperation. The main content of this article is about the fractional base stationcooperation research. There are two main aspects of this work. First, wediscovered and proved by experiments that fractional base stationcooperation can provide better system capacity than other cooperationtechnology with whole channel state information. And also it becomes apractical communication system option as this method can reduce thecomplexity of the whole system.Second, we studied different cooperation schemes under thecondition that the channel state information is not complete. Then wefind that our scheme can not satisfy with the user data transfer rate whenit can not know the whole CSI of its’ base stations. So on the basis of thisreason, a improved fractional base station cooperation scheme has been proposed. And this scheme has been proved that it can satisfy thecapacity of the system.
