Books Vertical Search Engine Based On Personalized Recommendation

Book resources are widely distributed in the world, They are closely related tohuman life. The books play an important role in promoting progress of society andhuman civilization, promoting the social political and economic development. Forreaders, it’s an important problem how to search for desired content on the Internet. Inreaction to the phenomenon of the demand, this paper implements a vertical searchengine and recommendation system for books. The system can provide conveniencefor consumers.To achieve the goal, the main points of the study are as follows: Firstly, wecreate data feeds to get the site by the artificial research way. Secondly, we implementdomain-based crawler and collect information from data source website. Finally,According to topic relevance, keyword matching and the methods based on userbehavior, the book recommendation algorithm return search results after the sorting.Through the research, mainly achieved the following results: Firstly, we pick afew books to the readers to select in the user’s registration module. It can solvecold-start problem of recommendation system. Secondly, we implement the rankingalgorithm of book vertical search engine by taking advantage of the user’s historicalbehavior information. Finally, the page of searching results is not a single book list. itis composed of recommendation list and the results of keywords retrieval.In summary, this paper can provide a more convenient and intelligent bookssearching platform based on the technological innovation.
