Frequency modulation continuous Wave (FMCW) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)with its simple structure, light weight, small volume and high resolution a series ofadvantages, got the attention of many people. In recent years, become a hotspot inresearch of SAR. Ground Moving Target detection (GMTI) is one of the major function ofthe radar, Moving Target imaging characteristic analysis foundation for Moving Targetdetection. Parameter estimation of moving targets provide quantitative data for movingtarget detection, so that achieve more accurate detection results. In this paper, the FMCWSAR ground moving target detection and parameter estimation are studied, on the basis ofpredecessors’ work, in the FMCW SAR moving target detection and parameter estimationfor a new job. Main work includes:First of all, the paper analyzes the FMCW SAR imaging principle, signalcharacteristics of FMCW SAR system are analyzed. Based on the characteristics of uniqueFMCW SAR system, system parameter setting, based on the concrete expression ofparameter setting, ultimately determine the most appropriate parameter, a stationary pointtarget echo model is deduced, it is concluded that the most reasonable way of receiving forDechirp reception mode, and gives a detailed analysis to the problem of distancemigration.Secondly, further study of the airborne strabismus of FMCW SAR ground movingtarget imaging characteristics, resume bosseyed dynamic geometry model, to improve therange-doppler algorithm of doppler was analyzed, and the flow chart of the imaging. Forstrabismus caused by target motion under the influence of FMCW SAR image has carriedon the quantitative analysis, points out that strabismus FMCW SAR moving target tooccur in azimuth migration is more obvious, the distance to the offset is smaller. Throughsimulation experiments, the feasibility of this method is obtained.Finally, study the airborne two-speed FMCW SAR moving target detection and isbased on Fractional Fourier Transform(FrFT) parameter estimation method. Make theaircraft platform in two different speeds for scene imaging, it will cancel the images obtained, realize the clutter suppression and moving target image. To detect the movingtarget image, the use of FrFT method for parameter estimation of moving targets,implement positioning for moving targets.
