During the first decade of the21st century, China’s oil refining industry has abrilliant performance. The processing capacity comes to be the second of the world.Refining technology innovation and development of the road are all successful. Thefuture situation is also grim, the sharp increase in consumption of petroleumproducts,Shortage of crude oil in domestic is one of the problem, CPCC、CNPC、CNOOC and other large refining companies all lost in the refining part. The reason isdiversification which old bad crude oil, equipment and control systems, restrictingthe overall development of the oil refining industry.Atmospheric and vacuum distillation process is a primary production processeswhat is in a large oil refinery and petrochemical industries. Crude oil has been heatedinto different components. Atmospheric and vacuum is the leader of refining,distillation products is raw material for downstream devices, the processing of theproduct continue to deepen. The production level has direct impact on the economicbenefits which of the efficient use of raw material and a downstream apparatus.1000×104t/a crude oil distillation unit of Tianjin Petrochemical which designedby SEI. Used single-loop PID control, the control system of a crude oil-based,supplemented by some complex control of a car used successfully since December16,2009. After long-running found the following deficiencies: control smoothenough,deviation increase,card edge quality indicators are quite difficult to controlthe freezing point of regular first-line, often a fine line of flash and naphtha drypoint, optimizing the lateral line segmentation accuracy there is a certain degree ofdifficulty.Advanced control technology transformation and upgrading of the crude oildistillation unit, first introduced Tianjin Petrochemical crude oil distillation unit onthe implementation of advanced control design ideas, followed by an overview ofAspenTech company DMC multivariable predictive controller’s technicalcharacteristics and the implementation of the basic conditions and strategies, andfocuses on the multivariate estimates of Tianjin Petrochemical crude oil distillationunit controller, soft instrument design, and advanced system simulation by theatmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, to the advanced control system put into use, to further tap the potentials to improve device yield, saving energy to do theanalysis of the theoretical and technical support.
