With the development of society, people’s dependence on information and communication technology (ICT) has been constantly enhanced. Therefore, the ICT industry becomes one of the major contributors to global carbon emissions due to its growing demand for electricity resources. How to meet the growing communication requirement while reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions to make contribution to human society, has become the important topic of the whole ICT industry. In addition, compared to the wired network, wireless communication networks are more vulnerable to intrusion since the openness and uncontrollability of radio medium. As a result, besides the convenience brought by wireless technology, wireless security issue has also become one focus of people’s attention.Cooperation is one of the main ways to construct green radio access network. It has enormous energy-saving potential. Cooperation is also an effective way to guarantee the security of wireless network. This paper aims to explorer energy efficient secrecy cooperation mechanisms. The major research and innovations are as follows:Taking remaining energy, transmission bit error rate (BER) and secrecy capacity into account simultaneously, this paper puts forward a dynamic multi-objective approach for secrecy relay selection. This approach describes the time-varying channel characteristics by using first order finite-state Markov model, and makes a trade-off among energy consumption, BER and secrecy capacity to select cooperative relays. Our approach is capability to enhance communication security, improve communications reliability and validity, and extend the network lifetime. Combining with relay cooperation and cooperative jamming, we propose an energy-efficient secrecy cooperation scheme. It introduces secrecy graph model to analyze network security connectivity, and switch among different cooperation approaches which include optimal jammer selection approach and optimal relay-jammer pair selection approach, for different network environments and security requirement. On the basis to ensure the security demand of users and business, it reduces power consumption and lower security outage probability, while achieving the security requirement.
