Western Democracy Output’s Political Influence On College Students In Interent Times And Its Countermeasures

In recent years, the rapid development of Internet technology has reached into various walks of civil life and has shaped the free, equal and open network space, which facilitates college students’ life and study and provides more convenient conditions for western democracy export.The first part of the paper conducts theoretical elaboration on western democracy export. Democracy export is the ever-lasting theme of western countries’ foreign policies.As western capitalist countries claim that western democracy is the universally applicable truth, they export it wantonly with various theoretical sugarcoats, while its political essence of democracy export has never been changed. The second part of this paper analyzes new changes of western democracy export in Internet times. New changes have taken place in targets, methods and contents of western countries’ democracy export in Internet times, which drives the western democratic values to be filled with every corner of network space and coerced with commodity, culture and religion, possessing more concealment. The third part of this paper, example analysis is done on western democracy export’s political influence on college students. It proposes that though western democracy export might bring certain object and positive effect on college students, its negative effect is more serious and violent as it leads to powerful impact on college students’ political attitude, belief and deeds. The last part of the paper discusses about the educational interference countermeasures to western democracy export in Internet times and puts forward that universities and colleges shall innovate ideological and political education,enhance network management to rebuild college students’ political confidence and improve the timeliness of network education to minimize the political influence of western democracy export on college students.This paper, with data studies method, qualitative analysis method, comparative analysis method and questionnaire survey, expounds western democracy export’s political influence on college students in Internet times and comes up with targeted educational interference countermeasures to enable colleges students to resist the penetration ofwestern democracy export effectively, lead them to establish Marxism democratic thoughts and cultivate as well as implement core socialist values, which will definitely facilitate the development of socialistic political civilization with Chinese characteristics.
