This study will mainly focus on the connotation and classification, the definition and methods of the learning ability evaluation, from the perspective of learning ability and its evaluation. It thinks learning ability should have the basic attribute of ability. Then this study considers that the theory of multiple intelligence and lifelong learning theory can guide the science research on learning ability. Thus, it determines the final research process and research method.This article will combine scientific discipline characteristic and the psychological characteristics of junior secondary school students, and put forward the junior middle school science learning ability evaluation index structure. The structure should include the three parts:the driving force by science, science learning ability, scientific thinking ability. Based on the comprehensive literature research and front-line teachers, the author obtained preliminary index system, then designed the questionnaire with the Kendall harmonious coefficient to test the questionnaire scores of reliability, using independent sample "T" test screening for indicators and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the index weight distribution.In addition, this study will determine index evaluation method based on the above research content, designing the corresponding evaluation tools, and use the clone Bach coefficient to evaluate tool reliability testing, screening for validity questionnaire with the method of factor analysis, and get advice and correction. After correcting tools, this study will be tentatively an assessment on the junior middle school students’science discipline learning ability, and the part of the samples test result feedback and put forward the corresponding teaching suggestions.Finally, this study will work out an Evaluation sheet of junior middle school science learning ability, which tries to reflect the junior middle school students’ scientific learning ability level to some extent, and provide some theoretical references to the teaching practice.
