College counselors are the backbone of the college students’ ideological and political work, and frontline workers of student management, who take on an important mission of guiding the students to grow healthily and succeed. Therefore, it is of positive significance to guide college students to develop and succeed and to cultivate talents in higher education by arousing college counselors’enthusiasm. By the two documents of On Further Strengthening And Improving Ideological And Political Education of College Students and On Strengthening The Team Construction of College Counselors And Class Advisers, they define clearly that the counselors and class advisers are the foundation and backbone of the college students’ ideological and political work, and points out that a counselor team with high level and high quality should be built up. Even though the development of college counselors has been valued within recent 10 years, their job burnout appears gradually, which is bound to weaken the management of college students.It has a certain realistic meaning for universities to relieve and prevent the job burnout, especially for local newly-founded college. As a college counselor, the author summarizes the achievements of previous researches. On the basis of their studies and with the practical working condition of a counselor, this thesis covers the performance of occupational burnout of university counselors and the impacts on college students, college counselors and team building with the theory of job burnout. And then by making an applied research and further investigating into the job burnout of counselors in Wuzhou University, this dissertation analyzes the causes of occupational burnout of counselors in local newly-built colleges. Meanwhile, it studies on the strategies of relieving and preventing the job burnout in the perspectives of organization and individual. |
