The first year of university life is the key period to university students’ growth and development. It is a special period which is not only related to the proper growth and smooth success of the students, but also reflects the students’ adaptability problems. Education adaptation is not only closely linked with students’ academic achievement and their future development, but also relates to the quality of talent cultivation in universities. This research takes "how to explain and solve the problem of freshmen learning adaptation through exploring the performance and reasons of BH University freshmen maladjustment problems?” as the core issue. It takes questionnaire survey, interviews and other empirical research methods to investigate the BH University 212 freshmen of Grade 2014, from which randomly selects 30 freshmen to have follow-up interviews to further explore freshmen’s learning adaptation situation and its influencing factors, and then put forward rectification measures.The main content of the thesis is divided into three parts:The first part, based on the empirical investigation, explores currently representation of BH University freshmen maladjustment problems. The research shows that the freshmen have obviously maladjustment problems on learning environment, university education, learning mode and Learning Mentality and other aspects.The second part analyzes the reasons of BH University freshmen learning maladjustment problems, which are mainly from family factors, educational factors, students’ individual factors. Social and family environment factors include: the effect of unhealthy trends in society transition and the family pays little attention to cultivating students’ adaptation ability. Educational factors include: fracture of high school and university education system(educational objectives, educational process and education management); unreasonable university curriculum; teaching troop backward and Entrance education lack of substantive education guide and so on. Students individual factors mainly include: lack of information consciousness; psychological problems and weakly learning ability and so on.The third part puts forward the measures to solve the problem of university freshman learning adaptability. It mainly includes: one is to optimize middle and high connection mechanism(education objectives, education process and education management mode); the second is to improve the teaching and management system of university, and lead freshmen adapt university environment; the third is that freshmen need to play their own subjective initiative to actively adapt university learning.
