Analysis On Influencing Factors Of Chinese Residents’ Happiness Based On FAHP And Ordered Probit Model

The final purpose of Economic development and formulation public policy is to improve people’s happiness. In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, residents’ material living standards has markedly improved. As income increases,people can enjoy a more comfortable life. However, In today’s rapid economic development,survey data shows that people’s happiness not only does not enhance, instead falling back.This phenomenon is the famous "Easterlin paradox".This problem arises in many factors affecting the well-being and not merely caused by the unilateral, happiness research is a comprehensive field which covers sociology, psychology and other disciplines.This paper mainly has a research on happiness from perspective of economics.Based on studies of relationship between individual factors or some objective factors and the subjective well-being, we choose multi index, multi-level and join subjective factors to study the residents’ happiness. Happiness is influenced by many factors. From three sides such as personal factors, social security system,the living environment, this paper chooses employment status, age, marital status and guarantee system of the education, income inequality,place of residence and other 12 indicators to establish evaluation system.Right on the 12 main factors influencing the well-being of residents assessed by sorting FAHP method, derive evaluation indexes, and then learn that various factors influence the degree of explanatory variables of happiness. By establishing Ordered Probit orderly selection model, and the research of well-being, we can further know that the relationship between influencing factors and well-being. According to feedback results show that income inequality, unequal opportunities, low level of education, people in urban, middle-aged, divorced, unemployed, non-party membership, inadequate social security system are residents of happiness damaged negative factors.Finally, according to the evaluation results, this paper will give policy recommendations improving happiness of residents from three aspects,for example, economic development, improving the social security system, strengthening personal accomplishment.
