In recent years, with the resumption of the college entrance examination system and the promotion of the national education system reform, the managerial power of the government in the education field reduced, people come to participate in the field of education, the number of private schools increased faster and faster, public schools and private schools appear to compete with each other, thus the concept of family and individual education choice is introduced. The choices of children education can be divided into two parts:between the schools and out of school. Through the questionnaire survey of rural households, we can analyze and study the relevant factors that influence their educational choice.This paper takes the rural family as the basic research unit, the relationship between various factors and the educational choice are analyzed by SPSS, it can be divided into five parts:introduction, the basic research of rural families’education choice, the basic situation of the choice of rural families’education in Feidong County, countermeasures and suggestions on improving the behavior of rural families’ educational choice, summary.The first part mainly introduces the background and reason of this research, theoretical and practical significance of it and the present situation in domestic and foreign research. In order to respond to the people-satisfied education raised by the report of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Governments at all levels have carried out various activities to promote the development of education. After the reform of the educational system, the rights of education gradually expanded to the individuals, the private schools developed rapidly, give families and individuals more opportunities. This study based on the rural areas of central China, and draw relevant conclusions through the field survey.The second part is definition of related concepts, we get a clear definition of rural families and educational choice through it. On the basis of Bourgeoisie’s capital theory, Coleman’s rational choice theory, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, we introduce of the theme of this study.Taking three middle schools in Feidong County, Anhui Province as an example, the correlation between the two factors was obtained through the entry and statistical analysis of the survey data. The relationship between families’ educational choice and families’ economic factors, cultural factors, occupational factors and social capital factors is verified, that is, families’ economy, culture, occupation, and social capital have different influences on educational choice.On this basis before, we analyzed and study the factors which influence the choice of family education, because the family owned different resources, resources are not the same in the field of education. This caused a certain degree of educational inequality, the gap between the dominant family and the disadvantaged family has resulted in the differences in the choice of family education, specific performance in the choice between the schools and out of school.Finally we puts forward to some related suggestions and countermeasures for the phenomenon of inequality in the education system, respectively is giving full play to the government supervision of public power, regulating the behavior of school independent recruitment; rational allocation of educational resources, elimination of unequal distribution of educational resources; establishing an open and transparent education information network, reducing the blindness of the choice of family education. By these strategies can we improve the unbalanced distribution of educational resources in rural areas, fighting the rights and give relevant protection for the disadvantaged families.This study investigated and studied the choice of education use the perspective of sociology and pedagogy, based on the theory of Sociology of education, through the statistical data in the form of intuitive to show the relationship between families’ educational choice with economy, culture, occupation, social capital factors to make the conclusion more convictive. Meanwhile, the research object is selected in the rural areas of Anhui, China, it could be a certain representative in sample selection. We hope this paper can be able to compensate for the lack of previous studies and provide a reference for the related policy of the government.
