With the rapid update of information technology and under the new educational circumstances, the cultivation of cooperative communication increasingly gains people’s attention. More and more experts and scholars at home and abroad begin to focus and do researches on group cooperative communication learning. Therefore, to develop students’ cooperative communication competence has become one of mathematical education goals in the present-day society. Most traditional teaching adopts teacher-centered model, which is featured by "the teacher lectures and students listen to, the teacher questions and students answer". This model ignores students’ autonomy and subjective initiative, making them lack independent thinking, dare not to express their own opinions on mathematical problems, let alone their good solutions and valuable mathematical views, and thus the students are in the passive reception situation. It is not good for the development of students’ mathematical learning abilities and interests and the improvement of their comprehensive qualities, and meanwhile it has a huge impact on class teaching efficiency. On the basis of this, we select "research on students’ cooperative communication competence in senior high mathematics teaching" as the issue, and then make analytic research by means of literature review, investigation and teaching experiment. This paper mainly consists of the following parts:(1) Briefly introduce the relevant concepts of cooperative communication through literature review.(2) Carefully make up the related questionnaires and interview questions in accordance with personal teaching experience and previous questionnaires. We choose 60 teachers and 480 students in four senior high schools in Pu Yang City as our subjects, and then analyze the collected data, aiming to learn the status quo and efficiency of the application of cooperative communication in real teaching and to learn teachers’and students’ attitudes towards cooperative communication in real teaching. What’s more, we want to master the problems in the application and analyze the factors influencing the conduction of cooperative communication in senior high classes, and then we propose the counter-measures and strategies. The research finds that the problems in the application of cooperative communication in teaching:firstly, the teacher cannot thoroughly understand cooperative communication and cannot well organize the classes, which makes students lose interest in participating classes; the students are grouped unreasonably, neglecting the weak group, which results in the low efficiency; the teacher cannot make preparations adequately and select appropriate contents and the evaluation system is not perfect. Secondly, the students lack the awareness and skills of cooperation, and cannot well understand and utilize the knowledge and their psychological qualities are rather low. On account of this, we put forward some suggestions for schools and teachers, hoping that these suggestion can make a difference to senior high mathematics teaching and give some references to the first-line teachers, and provide some theoretical basis for further new curriculum reformation.(3) illustrate the feasibility and validity of these suggestions through teaching experiment.
