In recent years, there is an increasing need for digital experiments in chemistry teaching in junior middle school. However, in practical teaching, further research on how to integrate digital experiments with chemistry teaching and on the principles we should empathize to reach the results of high-quality teaching is still needed. Classroom observation as an important chemistry classroom teaching evaluation approach is a key and indispensable way to measure the quality of teaching; it’s the starting point and carrier of improving the efficiency of classroom teaching and enhancing the level of teaching. It’s a novel combination method to apply the classroom observation technique to digital experiments. The feasibility and characteristics of applying the digital experiments to middle school chemistry teaching using classroom observation are analyzed to summarize the advantages and application principles of digital experiments in chemistry teaching and therefore to provide the analysis and application fundamentals for rational applying digital experiments.In this thesis, digital chemical experiments applied into middle school chemistry teaching is set as the starting point with classroom observation as the analysis mehod and literature research method, inductive analysis method, case analysis method as parallel analysis methods to compare. The thesis is divided into the following sections: First, recap the classroom observation and analyze the coherence between classroom observations and improvement of chemistry classes efficiency. Then, briefly introduce the digital experiments and obtain the features of digital experiments, such as intelligence, simplicity, convenience, etc. Summarize the theoretical basis of applying digital chemical experiments to middle school chemistry teaching through the classroom observation theory and constructivism theory, meanwhile, use classroom observation technique to analyze the two experiments: the inquiry of Carbon and Concentrated Nitric Acid reaction, the inquiry of Magnesium Aluminum alkaline primary cells in detail to explore the fusion of digital experiments with chemistry classroom teaching. We conclude the condition principles that merge the digital experiment with middle school chemistry teaching:(1) Need external environment supports(2) Obey the scientific teaching principles: a. Adhere to moderate principle b. Ensure timely Principle c. Promote openness principle(3) Enhance combination between theory and practice. We use tables to summarize the experiments which related to specific teaching materials with a series of classroom observations, such as names, sensors, and so on. Through this study, we expect to improve the usefulness of digital experiments in high school chemistry, promote better integration of practical teaching system and provide a reference for future application.
