By practicing theoretical model of Problem Based Learning(PBL) in teaching of Chinese reading, this study is to research a questioning strategy that can be used teachers. Utilizing the strategy, teachers are able to inspire students to become subject of learning, to issue valuable questions, to form effective learning process, and then improve effectiveness of teaching of Chinese reading, and cultivate ability of self-learning and continuous learning.The study is conducted on students in Shanghai Loushan Middle School. Through questionnaire, classroom observation and homework feedback, the author figures out students’ questioning competency in Chinese teaching and analys its causes. The study finds that the current Chinese reading teaching is basically teacher oriented, students’ questioning ability needs to be improved. It is due not only to concept constraints but also to limited ability.On this basis, the Shanghai Education Edition of Chinese textbooks as an example, practice Problem Based Learning in the classroom, explore and develop the strategies of Problem Based Learning used in junior high school Chinese reading teaching. Through collecting typical case of reading teaching, thinking of students subject, content features and the way of learning, the author sums up strategies: building up democratic atmosphere, establishing incentive mechanism, paying attention to the different expression, noticing unusual thought, thinking text conflict, spotting repeated phrases, comparing different chapters, utilizing teamwork, designing homework.The results show that the Problem Based Learning makes class formation and homework different, as well as improve the students’ interest in reading and independent study skills. Students learn how to find the problem, seek the path to resolve the problem, which not only improves the effectiveness of Chinese reading teaching, but also help the students to form independent continuous learning skills. In the future we will further improve strategies and ratings for problem solving in reading teaching during the process of the continued "problem based learning in the practice of Chinese reading teaching".
