The Teenager Netizen Investigation In Poverty-stricken Area From The Perspective Of Stratum

Based on the theory of Media Sociology, associated with the theory of Stratum, Leisure theory and Rogers’Innovation Diffusion Theory, this thesis will dig the reasons for which teenagers would like to obsess themselves in cybercafes by the investigation and interview of teenager netizens in Yanggao country, a poverty-stricken area. To achieve this purpose, this thesis will firstly analyse teenagers’status of leisure life from the persepective of cybercafes life, and then further analyse the influence of Stratum to teenager netizens in the county. According to the investigation, this thesis shows the following conclusions:1. The influence of stratum on teenager netizens mainly reflects on the costing, the higher social class, the higher spending of time and money in cybercafes; 2. The teenagers from higher social class are more satisfied to the existing leisure facilities in Yanggao county; 3. The obvious difference caused by stratum is the costing, while other factors from stratum not cause the striking difference; 4. Annual household income is the major factor to influence teenagers’ time spending in cybercafes, the higher income, the longer time consuming in cybercafes; 5. Vocation is the most important factor to affect the choosing of leisure activities and the obsessing to cybercafes, while the least important factor is self-conniption to their own social class; 6. Friends and classmates are also key factors; 7. Teenager netizens there, desire a much more diverse and healthier leisure modes and places. Following the above conclusions, the suggestions are proposed:1. The government, as a leading factor, should build multi-dimensional leisure facilities; 2. Schools, as the major place, should cultivate teenagers with healthy leisure concepts; 3. Communities, as the important link, should creat a harmonious group relations. All in all, as a tentative investigation, this thesis hopes to provide some inspiration to the following investigators who study the similar project by its findings.
