The Research Of Australian Higher Education Reform To 2020

With the continuous development of globalization, the knowledge plays more and more important role in the social development and market economy, higher education is an important approach to cultivate innovative talents of knowledge,therefore, the relationship between higher education and social economy increasingly closed and higher education become an important factor to promote social development and economic growth.Australia is one of the world’s most developed country in higher education, h Australia higher education started relatively late, however, it develop very fast. At present the quality and academic level of Australia’s high education with very high prestige in the world. The federal government regards higher education as an important means of economic development and international competition. Since 2008, as the impact of the financial crisis and the development of globalization, the Australian higher education system faced a series of problems and serious challenges. The emergence of these problems hindered the further development of higher education in Australia, as well as it brings adverse effect to economic and social development. Under the background of internationalization of higher education and economic globalization and the knowledge, to improve its higher education quality, enhance its international status and play a better role of promoting economic development, have become an important issue that the Australian government and higher education face, therefore, the Australian government set up a strategic target for 2020, in order to achieve these goals, conducted a series of reform measures, through analyzing the characteristics and results of these measures, aims to provide some enlightenment for the reform of higher education in our country.This article consists of four parts, namely the introduction, the reason of Australia for higher education reform in 2020, the main content of the reform and the suggestion for the reform of higher education in our country.The first part is the introduction, mainly introduces the reason for choosing this topic, the main concepts of thesis and research stages were defined. Describe related research results at home and abroad, introduce the main methods used and innovation in this study.The second part, mainly analyzes the reason of Australia for higher education reform for 2020. Including the impact of the financial crisis, the influence of knowledge economy and globalization and the challenges faced by higher education in Australia.The third part is the main content of the paper. This part describes the measures of the reform from the following four aspects: the participation and fairness of higher education, the quality assurance of higher education, the fiscal system of higher education and scientific research and management of higher education.The fourth part summarizes the characteristics of the reform of higher education in Australia and enlightenment for China’s higher education reform.
