With the fast development of the mobile Internet in recent years, bringing the mobile technology into educational filed is definitely the trend of “Internet plus” model. Studying with the help of technology equipment is an irresistible trend. Among factors that affect the effectiveness of mobile learning, UI design is the most important factor to influence the quality of these applications. It left the first impression to users. So, the influence of UI is significant and profound. The study of UI in China started late, compared with foreign mature theoretical system, there are many deficiencies. At the same time, users of different ages have different characteristics, so design UI for specific age users can meet the needs better. Looking at the domestic research, the UI design for certain age is relatively scarce.This study based on visual perception theories, and investigates the educational applications designed for 3 to 6 years old children. This study aims at analyzing the educational applications designed for 3 to 6 years old children to illustrate the principles of UI design in detail. Meanwhile, this research tries to use these principles to the practice of design to prove its truth.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part of this essay is mainly introducing the research background, method, and its value. The relevant concepts were defined in the second part, mainly conclude UI design theory, vision perception theory and the analysis of feature of 3 to 6 years old children. The third part analysis the design of UI in detail from five aspects, the design of color, interface layout, the design of character, the design of figure, interactive design, and it is combined with excellent APP cases. The researcher come up with some rules which should be followed for these educational applications designed for 3 to 6 years old children based on vision theory and personal thoughts during this research in the fourth part. The author designs specific educational application software aiming at 3 to 6 years old children by using these criterions. In the last part, summarizes the shortcomings and points out the future research directions.
