| Increasing researches have been conducted since Huang Xiting et al.proposed the concept of Time Management Disposition. It is believed that Time Management Disposition are individual psychological and behavioral characteristics on their ways of using time. These characteristics are featured by psychological structures of multi-dimensions and multi-levels, and are composed by time value sense, time monitor, and time-efficacy. As one of the personality characteristics, self-identity is a series of people’s perceptions on who they are, what are their status in society, what kind of person they prepare to be and how to make efforts in order to become persons they dreamed of. Current researches involve many different aspects of Time Management Disposition, which is relevant to other factors of personality. As postgraduates are the key persons our national higher education is designed to foster, as well as vital members to promote social development, how to have them trained is very important. Although the self-identity of postgraduates have stepped in to a relatively stable stage, issues of whether postgraduates in different situation of self-identity are similar to each other in their time management, what kind of relationships among them and how they related are still need to be explained by further research.This research adopts the psychological measurement method and gives out a questionnaire on self-identity and time management disposition to 255 physical education postgraduates in five universities. 243 valid questionnaires were collected. Based on descriptive statistics, difference tests and correlation analysis, the data shows that:(1) Postgraduates overall manage their time at a level of moderate or above and they are of high level in time management disposition;(2) Physical education postgraduates are at a high level of time management disposition, and this is not clearly affected by their different sex and university;(3) Physical education postgraduates in different majors have no obvious difference on the score of time management disposition, except minor differences are shown in self-efficacy of time management fraction dimension;(4) No difference on self-identity was shown in physical education postgraduates in different majors. Male students score higher than their counterparts in diffuse identity and female students receive more points in foreclosure identity, moratorium identity, and achievement identity;(5) Physical education postgraduates in different majors have no obvious differenceon self-identity;(6) Correlation was shown in physical education postgraduates of different self-identity situation on time management disposition. However, time-efficacy and identity diffusion forms a negative correlation, and time-efficacy and identity achievement show a positive correlation. Moreover, time value sense and identity foreclosure are in a negative correlation.. |
