Shanxi Province Development Strategy Of Vocational Education

The development of vocational education is an integral part of the national education system, it has a positive effect on the social and economic development and improving the quality of workers. Under the background of the current economic restructuring and development, the development of vocational education need to adapt to industrial restructuring initiative, and cultivate a lot of personnel of technology applied type and skill type for the industry. In terms of regional vocational education, in the process of building a modern vocational education system, it should establish a guiding ideology of serving the regional economy in the aspect of school running system, educational investment, enrollment plan, professional setting, and teachers’ level and so on. It makes contributions to regional economic development.In recent years, Shanxi Province expanding vocational education enrollment, improved the quality of teaching significantly and increases the investment year by year. It has been promoting the economic and social development of Shanxi Province vigorously. While, at the same time, Shanxi vocational education is also facing school running in monotonous form, professional setting unreasonable, "Double" insufficient number of teachers and the graduates could not meet the requirement of industrial development, etc. These problems have restricted the development of Shanxi vocational education seriously. This paper is based on the problems and realities of Shanxi Province, and analysis a large number of documents in Shanxi vocational education carefully, drawing on the experience of the development of domestic and regional vocational education, and raised some practical measures. These measures will be reference for the decision of vocational education in Shanxi Province.The following paper is divided into four parts:Part Ⅰ, Introduction. This section discusses the research background, significance, methods, ideas and the importance of the vocational education development and the current status of research at home and abroad is explained.Part II, the current status of vocational education in Shanxi Province. This section introduces the status of Shanxi vocational education from school conditions, training mode, professional, teaching quality, etc.Part Ⅲ, the current problems of the vocational education development in Shanxi Province. This section uses the chart method to summarize and analyze the problems of Shanxi vocational education development.Part IV, the countermeasures of the vocational education development in Shanxi Province. This section is based on the problems, and combined with the actual in Shanxi Province, to provide countermeasures and suggestions for the further development of the vocational education in Shanxi Province.
