The solving of the problem is one of the hotspots in the field of educational research, but the research in this area mainly focused on the well-structured problem, the research for the ill-structured problem is rare. In the field of chemistry, the research for the ill-structured problem is also rare. Ill-structured problem is prevalent in daily life, so the research on ill-structured problem has important significance both in theoretical and practical.Based on the related theories, we use the questionnaire method and verbal protocol method to research the strategies in solving chemical ill-structured problem in junior high schoolFirst of all, reading the related literature to master the general method and develop a reasonable research plan. Secondly, surveying the situation of students in chemical ill-structured problem-solving and analyzing the strategies they use to summarize the effective strategies. Finally, we explore the efficiency of strategies training. Through the research, the results show that:1. The situation of junior middle school students in chemical ill-structured problem-solving is not good. The majority of students have obstacles to solve it. Most students think that they lack the strategies of problem-solving. And they cannot reasonably choose and use the strategies.2. Top students use more cognitive strategies than secondary students in chemical ill-structured problem-solving. In the stage of problem representation, top students can grasp the meaning of the problem as a whole and choose direction in a right way. In the stage of problem solving, the top students do well in forward inference and can deny the existing wrong ideas to choose the right direction.3. Top students use more metacognitive strategies than secondary students. The number of self-directed and self-monitoring strategies that top students use is higher than secondary students.4.The effective strategies in chemical ill-structured problem-solving can be summarized as strategy of comprehensive analysis, strategy of information reduction, strategy of overall thinking, strategy of brainstorming, strategy of forward reasoning and strategy of transformation thinking.5.It is effective to use strategies training to improve the ability of junior middle school students in chemical ill-structured problem-solving.
