Research On The Geography Of Traditional Villages In Anhui Province

Traditional villages are the crystallization of hard work and wisdom of working people in agricultural time, also are the reflection of integration of human culture and the natural environment through thousands of years.In the rapid urbanization and economic development stage, the style of production and life update fast.Meanwhile, building a new socialist countryside constantly makes requests to the inheritance of characteristic of traditional villages. With the dramatic changes of the villages, traditional villages as special group in the villages need be well aware of themselves to develop characteristics and value in challenges. The paper makes geography research on traditional villages in Anhui to grasp the characteristics and laws of Traditional Village in Anhui.In the paper 111 national traditional villages in Anhui were selected as the research objects, the traditional villages in Anhui were studied by literature analysis, field investigation,qualitative and quantitative binding assay.The paper used satellite images of villages and relevant information in "National system to manage information of traditional villages " as data. The research results are as follows.(1)In the geographical distribution, most traditional villages in Anhui are in the southern Anhui especially in mountainous region of(2)southern and Southwest Anhui. In time distribution, most traditional villages in Anhui were built in the Yuan Dynasty ago.(3)As the prevalence of "the selection of home",people mainly followed the principle of safety,Feng Shui, the beautiful landscape and the principle of convenient transportation in Anhui,when traditional villages were built.(4) According to layout shapes of the organizational basic of villages-house,the shapes of traditional villages in were divided into lump, banding, stepped-shape and pictograms. And several maps of distribution of typical villages were listed to be evidence.(5) The law of traditional villages in scale demonstrates that the population of traditional villages are mostly in 500-1999 and area of traditional villages in Anhui are generally less than 500 acres.(6)According to the difference of region and architectural style, folk houses of traditional village in Anhui are divided into folk houses in Jianghuai and folk houses in southern Anhui. The category of folk houses in Jianghuai includes the folk houses with courtyard in Jianghuai,the folk houses in western Anhui and the folk houses in southwest Anhui. The category of folk houses in includes the folk houses in Huizhou and special type including Tulou,Shiwu and so on. The paper summarized characteristics of each type, and cited specific villages as evidence.
