On Attainment And Improvement Of Actual Effects Of Club Activities In Vocational Colleges

Club activities can be widely seen in vocational colleges, such as the on-going organization, propaganda and so on, which also indicate the blossoming development of students’ clubs. The prosperity of club activities reveals their important roles in campus. Now, club activities have become an important carrier of students’ extracurricular activities, main constructor of campus culture and guide of campus cultural growth. As the major carrier of college campus culture, university clubs are playing critical roles in terms of cultivating their ideologies, cultural disposition and manipulative capability. From the perspective of an on-duty students’ affair-handling staff, the author elaborates on the actual effects of club culture.At present, there are a number of studies on the topic both at home and abroad. Theoretical researches and practices are both making progress. Compared to the current status that various university students’ club activities are prospering at the same time, the domestic theoretical researches and construction ability are relatively backward. Under the wave of opening up and reform, we have witnessed the rigorous social development. University students’ clubs are also the same. They have experienced growth and prosperity. Relevant theoretical researches started from the 1990 s. With regard to the time, the studies are left behind practices for more than 10 years. In addition, as we know, theoretical researches mostly come from practices but are lagged behind practices at the meanwhile.In the first chapter, the author analyzes the significance of the study on the basis of elaborating on the background and current situation of relevant studies, and then introduces the methodologies, main innovations and limitations of the paper.Next, the author expounds on the major theories. Based on the introduction of the two concepts of university students’ union and local vocational colleges, the paper delves into the basic characteristics and main roles of university students’ clubs, actual effects and connotation of university students’ clubs. The effective management and improvement of the clubs is of great theoretical and realistic significance.On the theoretical basis, the author subsequently analyses the topic with some practical case. Taking Hunan Financial & Industrial Vocational Technical College as an example, the paper introduces the current situation of students’ clubs in local vocational colleges. Besides certain achievements, the clubs also have some problems, such as great gap among different clubs in development, poor foundation, inability to ensure the availability of activity fields, low level of club activities, inadequate inheritance of club culture, insufficient innovation, imperfect management mode and so on. After spotting out the problems, the author analyzes the causes. The internal reasons include defective management mechanism, poor cultural foundation, lack of management personnel, inadequate cooperation among clubs and so on. The external reasons include not enough professional theories and instructions, lack of input, absence of advanced management experience and approaches, etc.The attainment and improvement of actual effects is the fundamental reason for the organization of all purposeful activities. With regard to the attainment of actual effects, the paper proposes some measures. Specifically speaking, they include scientific positioning of goal of club development, enhancement of the notion of club growth, conformity to the basic principles of club development, such as the principle of focusing on the macro aspects and then micro perspectives, the director-in-charge principle and the principle of combining school support and self-development, perfection of relevant systems, such as system of club management, evaluation on actual effects and so on.
