Since 1999, enrollment policies have been widely practiced nationwide,China’s higher education after ten years of development has gone through largely from "elite education" into the "popular education" stage. More and more students choose to enter the university after high school graduation, and more and more college graduates choose to pursue a higher degree of education after graduation. Now and more people have a doctoral degree or above. Although college enrollment has led to rapid development of higher education for the community to cultivate more talents and promote China’s economic development, the employment problems of graduates are increasingly prominent. In this regard, our government also introduced the corresponding solutions, which however solely solve the employment problems of college graduates in quantity, and it is of no substantive help to improve the quality of employment of college graduates.Focusing on the study of the quality of employment graduates, this article analyzed the quality of employment of graduates, who hold the different degrees, in Yangtze River Delta region by the research questionnaire. The indicators established theory draws many scholars at home and abroad, combined with the characteristics of college graduates to design a questionnaire which objectively reflects the quality of the graduates’employment. Concerning the indices assignment, it mainly made references on the weight assignment of Liu Suhua, Yang Heqing and other famous scholars. The final conclusions reveal that the employment quality of graduates in Doctor and higher degrees is highest. In contrast, people graduate from junior college are in the lowest employment quality. In this paper, the author analyzes the defects and deficiencies in the quality of employment, and puts forward some feasible suggestions. At last, the paper analyzes the differences of the employment quality and the reasons, and puts forward the method of improving the quality of employment. The author analyzes that problems influence the employment quality including the work training, labor relations (mainly reflected in the type of labor contract), the system and procedures preventing the normal work.There are several parts of this article as follows:Part Ⅰ:Introduction. This part constitutes the significance, background, purpose, contents of the research and the innovation and deficiencies of the article.Part Ⅱ:Concepts and literature review. This section defines the concept of employment quality and employment quality of college graduates, and combs the two theories t home and abroad.Part Ⅲ:Study design. In this part, the author gives the questionnaire design, research object composition, index selection and the rights conferred by the weight indicator.Part Ⅳ:Current situation of the employment of college graduates in Yangtze River Delta region. In this part, the author based on the market research data obtained to analyze the status of employment of college graduates in Yangtze River Delta region. The author obtains the employment situation of graduates in different degrees in Yangtze River Delta region by the research data analysis. And analyze the factors one by one from the sample composition, which affect the quality of employment, and obtain the causes of the high or low quality of employment.Part Ⅴ:Conclusions and policy recommendations. Based on the survey of the employment quality of college graduates in Yangtze River Delta region, it is targeted to propose the policy advice to improve the employment quality of college students The innovation of this article lies in the establishment of the employment quality indicators which drew lessons from the related reviews at home and abroad, the improvement and the perfection accordingly.In this paper, the questionnaire is combined with the established index system and the actual operational. And, at the same time, for most of the data is from practical research, this paper thus to some extent make up for the insufficient data about college students’ employment quality in China. The research point of this article is based on the actual situation, thus has certain originality on the policy suggestions.Due to the limited time and energy, this article only uses the survey data in Yangtze River Delta region as the sample. So the sample size is not big enough. The conclusions maybe lack general applicability.
