Handwriting teaching is now paid more and more attention to. This research starts with country primary schools and handwriting teaching in daily education. It finds out the differences between country primary schools and primary schools in cities. It also illustrates the similarities and differences between handwriting teaching and calligraphy education in those two different kinds of schools. In addition, it establishes the teaching step of 10-minute-handwriting in Chinese class. This research uses many research methods such as literature method, action research and sum-up method. Meanwhile, by survey method, the research also analyses the unsatisfactory current situation of the teaching steps of handwriting in class, which includes ambiguous teaching aims, unscientific guidance from teachers and the lack of initiative learning. Therefore, the research insists on starting with improving teaching aims. Teachers should make the specific aims which are based on student characteristics and rural education. The aims should embodies not only the writing rules of Chinese characters but the 10-minute rule. Besides, teachers also need to design scientific teaching process and choose scientific methods to give an effective guidance to students. This can stimulate student interest of practicing handwriting, cultivate good handwriting habits and help students go through the plateau of writing. In a word, this fundamentally enhances the level of handwriting of the students in class.
