Mathematics culture is an important part of human culture, whose development partly decides the development of societies and nations.Deepening the students’ understanding of Mathematics is a significant approach to improve the Mathematics quality.It’s also an inescapable course to cultivate creative talents in the new century.This thesis makes a in-depth discussion about Mathematics culture to deepen the acquaintance of it. Combining with teaching practice, the thesis aims to direct students to know Mathematics culture and deepen their understanding and using of Calculus by the carrier of Calculus chapters in higher vocational education.This thesis is made up of six chapters.Chapter 1,a brief introduction, mainly discusses the study background, concept definition and the domestic and international status of the issue.Chapter 2 argues the following aspects: the concept of culture and Mathematics culture, Mathematics culture’s guidance to Mathematics education, the infiltration of Mathematics culture in Calculus, the influence of Mathematics culture on students in higher vocational colleges.In Chapter 3, the author gets a large amount of initial data according to her questionnaire of the current Mathematics learning situation of students in higher vocational colleges. The foundation of carrying out Mathematics practice is just based on the comparative analysis of the data.In Chapter 4,after several months’ teaching practice, the author draws an idea that Mathematics culture plays a good promoting part in Mathematics teaching of higher vocational colleges. She also has a visual verification by comparing the test results of the experimental class and the contrast class.Chapter 5 focuses on several aspects of Mathematics culture’s infiltration through teaching, which need insistence:1st Update teaching notions and form correct teahing opinions and Mathemtics educational views;2nd Dig the teaching materials deeply and enrich the connotation of Mathematics culture;3rd Advocate more Teacher-student interactions and set up an activity-oriented class circumstance;4th Reform the assessment systems of Mathematics classes and promote Mathematics culture’s infiltration in class.Chapter 6 reaffirms the topic and the significance of Mathematics culture to Mathematics education briefly.
