Population migration is closely related to the country’s social economic development pattern. From the new China was founded, our country has experienced from the coastal regional economic development strategy to the mainland, from inland to coastal transfer again, then turned to the coordinated development of the eastern, central and western stage. At the same time, the household registration system has also undergone strict limits, gradually relax restriction on small town, orderly open medium-sized city, reasonable in big cities. Under this background, the migration of spatial layout is the severe changes accordingly, the size of the population migration, strength and flow continuously to present new characteristics.central areas in China was influenced by unbalanced strategy,6 provincial economic development is slow. Since the 21st century, the national economy pattern changes in the framework of "western development、northeast revitalization、rise of midland、prefer of the east".The central region is facing the inevitable trend of the rise of the central, achieving shift from the "central sunken" to the " central rised", a scientific migration policies is necessary.Firstly, this paper is based on the data from 5th and 6th population census, the six provinces in central china as a study unit, using descriptive statistics and GIS software for migration population scale, structure, flow and six urban agglomerations is analyzed. Secondly, we analysis of the macroeconomic factors in policy registration system, eastern industrial transfer and the rural economy transition; Finally, quantitative analysis the factor based on the extended gravity model. Research shows that:(1) Although central economy developed fastly, but the structure of the population migration did not change, the size of the migration population continues to grow. (2)The population move out of central china is increased, and transfer from pearl river to Yangtze river. But area the population from has "big scattered, small agglomeration" characteristics, central urban agglomeration attracting ability tends to reinforce the migrating population. (3) The implementation of the national regional policy so that economic growth in the region and the eastern region narrow the gap, but the the widening income gap is still the main engine. (4) In recent years, industry transfer between eastern and central china, at the same time, the industry is focus on the densely populated and resource intensive, which is related to the migration. In addition, the further reform of the household registration system, the development of rural economic transition has deeply influenced the migration of the midland. (5) The per fixed asset investment’s influence is not significant, but the growingly opening is one of the important factors.
