Educational Research On Beijing College Student’s Ecological Consumption Concept

As a special consumer groups, the status of college student’s consumption concept is directly related to the scientific and reasonable layout of social consumption structure. However, under the influence of Western consumerism, consumption concept of many college students has undergone a distortion. As a major platform for the moral education of college students, the lack of relevant education towards student’s consumption concept has intensified this problem. For these reasons, Educational Research on Beijing College Student’s Ecological Consumption Concept was selected to be the subject of my thesis, and I hope this thesis could offer some advice and suggestion to the effective implementation of ecological consumption concept education.800 students, who are ranged from freshmen to senior students and studying at 20 representative colleges in Beijing, were selected to be respondents and with the self-edited Questionnaire about Beijing College Students’Ecological Consumption as the assessment tool. After integrating and studying related foreign and domestic research results respectively, the thesis firstly describes the theoretical basis for college student’s concept, then illustrates the current status of Beijing college student’s ecological consumption to be "both scientific and rational as well as negative and aimless" through statistics and data analysis of the questionnaire as well as the two factors causing this situation. Finally, the thesis attempts to build and analyze the Five Level structures of Beijing college student’s ecological consumption education through five aspects namely educational subject, educational objects, educational content, educational methods, and educational environment in order to further enrich the theory as well as promote the educational practice of ecological consumption concept for college students.
