Research On Status And Strategies Of Life Consciousness Education Of Biology Teaching In Senior High Schools

The true meanings of education lie in the development and promotion of life consciousness, and the modern education are rooted in the formation of student’s correct life value. However, behaviors such as ignoring or even tramping lives occurred frequently among lots of youths in current society, which not only influence the physical and mental development of individuals, but also violate the normal orders of schools, or even impact the harmony and stability of whole society. In order to improve the students’ life consciousness, and establish the correct concept of life, it is necessary to promote life consciousness education in schools. The biology has significant advantage in cultivating the consciousness of life, and is one of the most important areas of life education. Therefore, it is critically important for the effective implementation of life consciousness education to focus on the status and the potential problems during biological education in senior high schools.The thesis takes the students and biology teachers in four high schools from Dezhou city, Shandong province as the research example, using questionnaire and interview methods, in order to investigate the current situation and the potential problems on the life consciousness education in biology education of senior high schools. The results showed that both the status and implementation of the life consciousness education are still far from ideal, which may be due to the influence of exam-oriented education and the lack of school support and teaching materials. Based on these results, we put forward feasible strategies in practical education from three perspectives, including educational system, social support and textbook analysis, hoping to provide valuable information for teachers to perform the effective life consciousness education in the biology teaching.
