Research On The Status Quo Of And Strategies For The Development Of Public Sports Facilities In Qingdao City

In recent years, Qingdao sports has undergone a sound progress; the three supporting fields-mass sports, competition sports and sports industry have made coordinate progress, showing a prosperous atmosphere. As the premise and foundation of mass sports, public sports facilities also made tremendous achievement. A large number of advanced public facilities were built and put to use, with the total area and the area per capita all rising up. The overall layout in the city map is also going for a balanced state and relevant construction and management regulation also made substantial results. Taking advantage of onsite research and systematic analysis, this paper, using mass data, shows the prominent achievements in the public sports facilities of Qingdao in recent years. However, as the requirements of developing people’s livelihood and in response of the national stress to mass sports, the public sports facilities in Qingdao still can not meet all the rising requirement of its people, many problems and drawbacks persisting ahead. Such as the maintenance funding shortage, over-commercialized mega sports venues, poor planning and inefficient utilization of the school sports facilities. By enumerating the practice in developed countries and the leading cities in china, this paper pointed out the targets for Qingdao city through sharp contrast. Analyzing both advantaged and disadvantages of Qingdao, this paper objectively gives out Qingdao’s strengths, for example, natural environment, economic foundation, sports brands and public support. Through strategic posture analysis, this paper put forward specific measures to accelerate the development of public sports facilities supply:firstly, to increase the afterwards financial support for facility’s maintenance; secondly, to uphold connotation of people based concept, and design and plan multi layered sports faculties; thirdly, to greatly elevate the utility of current sports facilities; fourthly, to maintain the city’s characteristics and develop mass sports according to local conditions. Well facing the unprecedented development opportunities, and with the great shift from competition sports to mass sports in national sports policy and the cause to develop public welfare, Qingdao public sports facilities need to get rid of shackles in constriction and management, realizing sustainable development. From analyzing the current situation of Qingdao public sports facilities, this paper summarizes its development characteristics and problems, and finally proposed specific measures for enhancing the development of public sports venues and facilities in Qingdao. Hence, it has much substantial meanings in reality.
