Vector has both geometric properties and algebraic properties, is one of the important knowledge points, after the new high school mathematics is also a powerful tool for problem solving. With the popularity of the high school new curriculum, also in qinghai province and in September 2010 to enter the new curriculum reform. 《Ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard(experiment)》 in the required 4(plane vector) and taking a 2-1(space vector and the three-dimensional geometry) respectively set up vector, involved in plane vector and the vector space. Vector has a wide application in other aspects of knowledge, is one of the important tools in mathematics.The purpose of this paper is to investigate the application situation of xining city high school students vector analysis, through statistical analysis of the questionnaire are concluded:(1) high student in plane vector to solve the problem of plane geometry application consciousness is weak;(2) the school of science living with space vector when solving the problem of solid geometry think construction is difficult, to calculate tedious, error-prone, but the obvious advantages;(3) the school of arts living for stereo cannot accurately make auxiliary line, thus affecting the solid geometry problem solving. In view of the existing problems, the author puts forward suggestion is that:(1) high student should strengthen the understanding of plane vector, raise awareness of the application of plane vector;(2) the school of science living in learning compulsory 2(to judge the position relationship between dot, line, face) increased when the vector method;(3) the school of arts living in the study of solid geometry increase the content of the space vector.In terms of vector issues to discuss, the author from the vector itself has the characteristics of the vector loop was emphasized in the plane vector method, the unit vector method, the median line in the form of vector theorem, vector form will score points in the application of the formulas and the application of the plane vector in the other knowledge(including the trigonometric function, the application of plane analytic geometry, series); The author emphasizes in the space to its in solid geometry(parallel, perpendicular, Angle and distance) and its application in the inequality of application of the author is the purpose of writing this article hopes to promote the students’ understanding of vector, strengthen the vector is the use of knowledge, at the same time for the combination of compulsory 2 and take 2-1, the author also gives the concrete teaching segments(see annex 4).
