As the recent rounds of curriculum reform were advanced gradually, the problem of the communication and listening which is in order to improve the teaching efficiency has become the main subject getting growing concern. Teaching is a process of mutual exchanges and communication between teachers and students in which the information transmission can be two-way even multidirectional. The teacher is both a source of information and the end-result of information. During teaching, a good teacher should not only be a wise teacher but also a quick listener. For a teacher of ideological and political education, the purpose of listening effectively is not to prove the rationality of some ideas or thoughts, but to request teachers to actively participate in the students’ thoughts and discuss and guide the student to comprehend knowledge and involved in their study, which really reflects the core concept of ‘‘based on students’ development” in the new curriculum. Here, effective listening is equivalent to comprehension which is a knowledge that one can master by learning. In this paper, we use the methods including literature study, comparative study and empirical study. I hope that the paper can provide some support and help to the political teachers working at middle school to improve the classroom teaching effectiveness and to constantly adapt to the new ideas and requirements of the curriculum reform, at the same time, to raise their professional level by discussing the theory.
