Since the end of the 14th century, Jurchens living near the Songhua River and Heilong River gradually got together close to economically developed Central Plains, and settled in the Tumen River area. Jurchens’core of main body, Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli, arrived in Tumen River area via the upper reaches of Wusuli River and Suifenhe River, lived in Xi-Guan Town of power department (now the southwest of Hunchun, Yanbian) and then in Amu River area (now Huining in North Korea and Sanhe, Longjing). Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli were often attacked by Mongolians, Wudohas and Tartars, and struggled hard to find out their own way of survival. The life and activities of Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli near Tumen River were influenced by the following events. In the middle and end of Yuan Dynasty, the Jurchens rioted against Yuan Dynasty at the Mudanjiang River, slaughtered each other, and were forced to migrate to the south. Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli resided originally in Xi-Guan Town of power department in Xunchuan (Hunchun River). In the fifth year Hongwu (A.D.1372), there occurred an anti-Yuan Dynasty riot at Xunchuan River by WudihadaBmaChi, and Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli had to transfer to Korea. In the 7h year Hongwu (AD 1374), they were forced by the policy of the extension of the north which was carried out by Koryo Dynasty, to move to Amu River area, the upper reaches of Tumen River (now Huining area in North Korea). In the early years of Yongle (AD 1403), "Geng Yin Incident" near Tumen River compelled them to move to Fangzhou, the upper side of Huifa River, and then to west. In the 20th year Yongle, to escape from the Tatar invasion, Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli returned to the Amu River area (now Hanwangcheng area, Sanhe, Longjing). In the 8th year Xuande (AD1433), head of Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli, Tiemuer was murdered. The survivors headed by Fancha and Dongshan, moved to south, and arrived in Santu River and Donggu River. Fierce Brother, Tiemuer, grew up in Xi-Guan Town of power department, inherited his father to become the head of Woduoli who led their people to make Hunchun Plain near Tumen River, including the northeast of Korea, become their kingdom, and negotiated with Ming Dynasty and Korea. The establishment of Jianzhouwei, Jianzhouzuowei which are the administrative regions, shows the important role of Woduoli near Tumen River.In short, the residence of Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli near Tumen River, accelerated the development of economy in Nuzhen. In the meantime, it has significant real meaning and profound historical meaning since it helps people know more about the history of China-Korea relationship near Tumen River and the change of territory, enhance patriotism, promote development of local economy and political stability, strengthen the unity of nationality, vitalize border areas and enrich the people living there.The thesis studied the residence of Jianzhou Nuzhen Woduoli near Tumen River, analyzed systematically the important guide of "self benefit" in the relationship between countries and nationalities, proved some academic standpoints that have not been settled in this field, reflected the role of legend in the process of history, and offered beneficial and successful experiences and enlightenment to the development of nations.
