The rapid development of the internet based on computer technology, communication technology and information technology announces the arrival of the Internet Age. As one of the products of the Internet Age, online political participation has become a new form of political participation and the gradual rise of their online Political participation comes with the rapid development of internet. As part of the youth groups, college students have a strong representation of youth groups and highly educated people, and they are also one of the most important political participating subjects. Students’ participation in the programming political events or sudden social and political events has become the main way of their political participation.This paper collected documents and data through the method of historical documents and interview. Based on the analysis of interview data and with the reference to the theory “A ladder of citizen participation”, the writer classify the political behavior of college students into three types, namely access to network political information, the network interactive of political content and the substantive network political action. Every type of the three has its unique form and participation model and has a different impact on society and each individual college student. Students, network, government, society intertwined and influence each other. Besides, how to guide the behavior of college students’ political participation correctly are also at stake.This study selected college students as research subjects. By analyzing the behavior of political participation of Chinese contemporary college students, it generalized different types of political participation and summed up the problem that may arise in this process and provided some suggestions and countermeasures.
