| Reading is one of the most significant ways for people to get knowledge. With the development of society and, the great advance of technology, as well as the acceleration of the process of society digitalization, possessing stronger ability of reading comprehensive becomes an indispensable quality for today’s human.Mathematics reading comprehension as one of the most important part of reading comprehension, is not only the basic guarantee for student to study mathematics, but also the vital approach to promote development of thinking and logical inference.Ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard(experiment) which was issued in 2003 also advocates the diversified learning approaches, includes self-study,meanwhile, it points out that teacher should guide student to study by oneself. These years especially, demanding of mathematics reading comprehension is increasingly higher, because of the amount of information which contains in the mathematics test of college entrance examination increases gradually, so stronger ability of the mathematics reading comprehension, is helpful for both mathematics studying and college entrance examination. Based on the reasons above, to solve the following questions seems most urgent. How is the situation of mathematics reading comprehension of high school students? What are the factors that influence the mathematics reading comprehension of high school students? How to improve the mathematics reading comprehension of high school students?With the questions above, I consulted all the related documents both home and abroad, and compiled questionnaire of the situation of mathematics reading comprehension of high school students as well as test paper of mathematics reading comprehension of high school students, researched 672 students by questionnaire and testing in different levels in four middle school in Tianshui city, Gansu province.Furthermore, based on the investigation results, I did follow-up interview to some of them, and found that most of middle school students had already realized the importance of the mathematics reading comprehension, though the reading habit and method had to be improved, mathematics reading comprehension is still in the poor situation. Subsequently I analyzed the factors that influence the mathematics reading comprehension of high school students, which shows up as subjectively, lacking interest, negative of attitude, badness of reading habit, weakness of basic knowledge,objectively, insufficient of reading time, shortage of reading books, absence ofguiding. Based on the research above, this paper puts forward the following measures to deal with these problems, firstly, transforming the concept of the relationship between teacher and student, enhancing guidance, secondly, cultivating good reading habits, strengthening self-discipline, thirdly, teaching better reading method,advancing the ability of reading comprehension, fourthly, improving reading environment, stimulating the reading interest, fifthly, establishing knowledge network,accelerating the students’ comprehension to knowledge. |
