With the implementation of the new curriculum reform, geography teaching is undergoing a welcome change, the modernization of teaching cooperative learning, group investigation and multimedia technology, etc. have been widely used in junior high school geography teaching, but to stop and reflect on our classroom, found that there are still many problems: teachers such as: teaching goal design is not science; not appropriate to use teaching methods; fair enough, such as the evaluation of teaching, student areas such as: lack of interest in geography and active learning; lack of awareness group cooperative learning and inquiry and so on. In view of this, the effective teaching theory and junior high school geography with a combination of classroom instruction, and then to explore effective teaching junior high school geography classroom strategies, it is very urgent and necessary.In this paper, literature research, questionnaires, case analysis, classroom observation and interviews and other research methods on the effectiveness of junior high school geography class are analyzed and presented strategies for effective teaching junior high school geography class. I hope these strategies capable of teaching geography teacher help.The article is divided into five parts, the introduction to the background and issues raised by the current situation of China’s current research and effective teaching to do a thorough analysis, purpose, meaning, and the ideas and methods of the research are described.The main body of the article describes the contents of the following areasFirst, effective teaching concepts were defined, including: classroom teaching, effective teaching and effective teaching junior high school geography class features, and the theoretical basis for effective teaching and research are described in detail.Secondly, through the analysis of interviews with teachers and questionnaires, and analyzes the factors affecting the effectiveness of the current junior high school geography class.Third, choose two effective teaching junior high school geography class implementation success stories, and its detailed analysis.Finally, based on the new curriculum, and combined with the practice of classroom teaching junior high school geography, propose specific strategies to achieve junior appeared geography classroom and effective teaching methods, and provide reference for the junior high school geography teacher’s classroom.
