On The Cultivation Of Undergraduate Learner Autonomy

In the era of knowledge economy, lifelong learning has become the main theme of the times. In the process of personnel training, it requires that universities must pay more attention to the autonomous learning ability of students to make sure when graduate and enter the society, the students have enough self- learning ability to adapt to the rapid changing information society. University is gradually concerned about how to cultivate the autonomous learning ability of college students.Based on Zimmerman autonomous learning theory and combined with the "Q uestionnaire of College Students’ autonomous learning" which is designed by current domestic scholars, this study has done some researches on the college students’ autonomous learning. Through the questionnaire, we found that:(1) With the increase of the grade levels, the students’ learning self-efficacy promotes, the use of university learning methods is more skilled and more effective, time management is more efficient, the will of active learning and cooperative learning promotes, and the use of the learning resource is more effective.(2)In terms of the autonomic learning, the main difference between the student cadres and non-student cadres is the active control of their own learning behaviors.(3)The difference between male and female students in the autonomic learning mainly reflects in the learning method dimension.(4) The difference between science students and liberal arts students’ autonomic learning mainly reflects in the goal setting dimensions. By searching, coding, recognizing and learning the notifications and documentations of students’ independent learning policies, measures, methods and approaches in college training on the official website of the case schools, we can find:(1) The school training in the daily management for college students’ autono mous learning ability still need to be strengthened.(2) School pays more attention to the extracurricular technology. By interviewing frontline staffs we find: it is a good way to conduct the student technology club activities, organize faculty guidance team for each class, allocate science and technology committee and hold small-sized competitions in organized department to improve students’ interests in learning, and then to effectively improve their awareness of autonomous learning.Based on the analysis of college students’ autonomous learning ability and current situation of training, cultivation countermeasures of college students’ autonomous learning ability have been proposed in two aspects, which are education management and teaching. In the university management, there are some suggestions(1) Stimulating students’ learning motivation management.(2) Guiding students to improve the efficiency of time management.(3) Improving teaching methods and guiding teachers to promote students’ autonomous learning ability(4) Expanding the academic evaluation of students.(5) Providing more excellent learning environment. In teaching and education, there are also some advices:(1) Stimulating students’ inner motivations of autonomous learning.(2) C hanging the learning methods to increase students’ interests in learning.(3) Using the appropriate methods to evaluate the college students’ ability of autonomous learning.(4) C hanging the traditional ways of communication between teachers and students to guide students’ autonomous learning.
