Organic chemistry is part of the chemistry, and learning the knowledge of organic chemistry can help cultivate students’ scientific literacy, which has an important effect on the improvement of students’ practical operations ability. Organic chemistry occupies a certain position in the industrial production. As it is valued, meanwhile, people avert their eyes to the universities specialty which is relevant to organic chemistry. As the basis of university organic chemistry is learned in high school, the study of high school organic chemistry is paid unprecedented attention on account of its correlation on college specialty and the pressure of college entrance examination. Parents and teachers hope that in the process of learning organic chemistry, the logical thinking and practical operation ability of students can be cultivated. However, in the real learning, the phenomenon of having difficulties in learning organic chemistry will more or less exist in some students. Aiming at it, the questionnaire surveys and face to face interviews have been conducted to the Grade 2 and Grade 3 students in the high school which the author serves, in order to know the reason of causing difficulties in learning organic chemistry.This paper is divided into the following parts: The first part is the purpose and significance on the raising and exploration of the issue; the second part is about the questionnaire design, sample confirmation and analysis and summary of the survey results; the third part is the conclusion which is drawn from the analysis and comparison of the survey: the high school students who have difficulties in learn organic chemistry account for about 47%, which nearly reaches to half of the total number, and the factors contributing to this result can be mainly divided into external and internal factors; the fourth part is to put forward corresponding countermeasure according to the causes. In the view of high school students they are and having formed a learning habit and method, therefore, teachers should do relatively more jobs, wishing the difficulties in studying organic chemistry of students can be reduced with the help of teachers.
