Three-dimensional models and animation can present learning content in the form of visualway.It can show the relationship between phenomena and abstract rule intuitively.It helpslearners breakthrough thinking difficulties, develop the learners’ deep thinking[1]. The threedimensional models and animation has been to the obvious facts which can improve the teachingeffect. However,3d model and animation has so many problems,such as resourcesshortage andpoor quality.It cannot meet the demand of teaching.It is bound to need more and better3d modeland animation resources in service in the teaching.For the problems, the author based on3d model and animation in the teaching design ofmeiosis and fertilization, discuss3d model and animation in the application of the high schoolbiology teaching.Cognitive load theory and education communication theory and experiencetower theory are important theoretical basis,which can guide the teaching desigh and multimediaresources development.So,the author study the cognitive load theory, education communicationtheory,and experience tower theory.From the three kinds of cognitive load optimal control,theinfluence of the information channel for information transmission and so on to explore thefactors affecting the three dimensional animation production and the teaching design. The authorcombines with the understanding of teaching materials and students, making the3d model andanimation of meiosis process, and applies the3d model and animation to the teaching design inorder to achieve better teaching effect. In the paper, the author introduces the step of making the3d model and animation to provide certain reference for someone who is interested. Finally, theauthor will appiy the3d model and animation to the high school biology teaching design, designmeasuring scale,deal the measurement data with the software of SPSS,prove that3d model andanimation can effectively improve the teaching effect.
