Under the educational background of higher institutions, the first thing shown bythe students’ professional consciousness is the professional focus, which must be basedon the necessary cognition of the nature of the profession and the curriculum, thesystematical mastery of the professional knowledge, and the strong interest in theobjects of the study.If the students keep high interest and satisfaction with the professional learning atthe undergraduate stage, they will have strong consciousness of professional service andcollaboration, which will promote the personal and the professional development. Ifthey have no interest in the learning of the professional knowledge, they will be in anegative idle state, suffering from imaginary fears, which would delay their ownprofessional learning and have no benefit for both the professional development and thecampus security. Therefore, the student’s professional consciousness and the degree oftheir focus on the profession become the important factors that affect the collegestudents’ professional learning and development.Educational technology is one of the new undergraduate majors in Shandong SportUniversity. Nationwide, the subject has features of flexible curriculum and morepriorities of students’ development. How to improve the professional consciousness ofthe students majoring in the educational technology effectively becomes the focus of thestudy.Given this, the study methods used in this study include literature review,questionnaire and students interviews. Analyzing documents, carrying on thequestionnaire, students interviews, expert argumentation, etc. and referring to previousstudies, the author designed A Questionnaire on the Professional Consciousness of theStudents Majoring in Educational Technology. According to the professional situation,this study discusses the features of the students majoring in educational technology andanalyses the professional consciousness, and the conclusion is as follows:(1)The questionnaire with21items designed on the professional consciousness has good validity and it can be used as an instrument to measure the college students’professional consciousness.(2) According to the result of the questionnaire, the total score of the professionalconsciousness of the students majoring in educational technology in Shandong SportUniversity is slightly higher than the median score. This shows that the students’professional awareness of this major is in the medium level generally, that is, thestudents majoring in education technology in Shandong Sport University have ageneral acceptance of their own major.
