The concern of urban geography has shifted away from the macroscopic views such as urban agglomeration and urban system, toward researches on internally spatial structure and residents’ life behaviors, and researches on microscopic views is increasing like consumption space, commercial space, job-housing space, etc. When urban area expands to a certain extent, citizen mobility becomes the most important effect on urban development and its internal spatial structure. The adjustment of the latter will, in turn, promote new citizen mobility.The paper selects Hefei as a case. Bases on relational statistical data and questionnaire survey data, the characteristics of the people’s move inside the Hefei city, such as the quality, the time aspect, the distance and the spatial type are summarized. The moving mechanism and its change are analyzed.
