Shake-hand attacking playing style is a traditional European playing style. After1980s, after Chinese Men’s table tennis team ranked only7th in the41th World Table Tennis Championships Team event by using three Shake-hand attacking style players. Chinese Table Tennis Team started researching and practicing after that and figured out its own way which adapt to the development of Shake-hand attacking playing style. With four major changes of table tennis rules and regulations accompanied with technique and tactic innovations. It’s guiding methods and training approaches changed as well. To use more attacking techniques and tactics has always been a consistent topic. It’s rather difficult for players to use single attacking technique to win in today’s fierce competition. The key is to organize combinations of techniques and tactics which are effective and sequent. Based on literature study, expert interviews, video observation, mathematical statistics and other methods. This article analyze the performance in three parts of both domestic and international competitions played by Chinese outstanding Shake-hand attacking style players Ma Long、Zhang Jike、Fan Zhendong、Yan An in three years. Hoping to find out combinations of techniques and tactics with their own characteristics. Evaluating the results of combinations performed by different players. Trying to provide constructive suggestions in order to make this playing style much more perfect.Conclusions are listed as follows:1. Chinese Shake-hand attacking style performed well in receive-then-aggress part; Serve-then-aggress part’s performance is in the middle. It’s rally part need to be improved.2. Chinese Shake-hand attacking style performed differently in terms of combinations of techniques and tactics in three parts due to different ways to play by certain players. such as proportion of forehand or backhand usage; techniques used to receive. The difference of placement combination in the first six rounds is not obvious. 3. In the serve-then-aggress part, especially the first and third hitting, the combination of counterattacking after serving is used frequently and attacking after serving used more commonly than controlling after serving. The combination of the third and fifth attacking has the best stability after counterattacking at the first hitting; There are some difference in the effect of attacking both at the first and third hit. The characteristics are not obvious in the combination after controlling at the first hit.4. In the receive-then-aggres part, especially the second and fourth hitting,attacking is used most frequently which is a good combination;Attackingaftercontrolling is just average;Counterattacking to gain points is equal to losing points after controlling it;The use rate of continue attacking combination at the second, fourth and sixth hitting takes the largest percentage. The usage of other combinations are dispersive.5. Forehand attack continuously in the rally part is used most frequently and the effect of gaining points is perfect;The effect of attacking with the combination of forehand and backhand ranked the second. Counterattacking after blocking needs to be improved.6. Ma Long is the most stable player in using the techniques and tactics combination among four players. He can seize the opportunity with forehand and has strong ability to hit top spin. He can also apply the attacking combination after controlling in receive-then-aggress part and forehand attacking continuously in rally part well. The spin that put on the ball by Zhang Jike is the strongest among the four players, the combination of attacking back spin then attacking top spin is his most favorite. Fan Zhendong performs aggressively and actively in terms of combinations of techniques and tactics. His backhand’s attacking and counterattacking abilities are the most outstanding. Yan An’s sense of attacking different placement and playing fast between each hit in serve-then-aggress part and receive-then-aggress part are nice. He performs attacking and counterattacking well at the half court of forehand side.
