| The State Council on the reform and development of China’s decision states that, development of students’s ability of proposing figuring and sloving problems should be paidattention to." Mathematical applied problem is the bond which connect problem solving andmathematical application. In addition, due to the close relationship between the solvent ofmathematical applied problem and students ’ innovative ability and the cultivation of creativethinking ability, math application questions plays an important role in teaching math. However, a majority of students have difficulties in solving mathematical applied problem. In this paper, mathematical applied problem, correlation analysis defined, and the mathstudy, learning disorder and math application difficulties are theoretically analyzed. I haveselected320fourth grade students in No.5high school of Yantai City, Shandong province, asthe study samples, making elementary understanding of the students’ barriers of solving mathapplication questions throughquestionnaires and interviewing of the school math teachers.Correlation analysis towards the students samples is carried out through questionnaires andtesting of examination papers. By detailed analyzing of the investing results and the testingresults, assisted with the statistical analysis through SPSS18.0, conclusions are obtained asfollows:Junior high school students ’ barriers of solving mathematical applied problem includes:1, The students fragile psychological qualities, weak will are important factors causing thisdifficulties.2, The student’s comprehension ability. Some of the students’ readingcomprehensive ability is insufficient, cause obstacles to the application problem solving.3,The students’shortage of mathematical knowledge. Some students are able to give an equationbut don’t know how to solving or solving it in a wrong way, leading to some errors in solvingthe math application questions.4, The students’ barriers in establishing a mathematical model, which is the core steps in solving the math application questions.5, Understanding obstaclesresulting from question statement.6, Students not familiar with meaning of the question.Thestudents sometimes can’t understand problem information, some incomprehension results theobstacles. Amongthese factors, the students’ master of basic knowledge and the mathematicalmodel establishing ability have greater influence than the comprehension ability for mathapplication question. According to the above research results, I have several proposals to improve the mathteaching quality of junior high school students:1, Helping students increase their learninginterest and enhance problem-solving confidence.2, Strengthening students’ ability oftransformation of language.3, Training students’ ability of establishing mathematical model.4,Improving the students’ math skills.5, Enhancing the training in way of problem-solving ideasand methods. I also give several suggestions to students to helping them in solving mathapplication questions:1, Building confidence.2, Learn how to thinking themselves.3, Payattention to mathematics in life.4, Learn to summarizing and reflection.5, Do more exercises. |
