Foreign Women’s Participation In High-level Political Election

Women’s liberation is firstly obtained from political rights.The voting rights is the primary goal of the feminist movement. Therefore, the extent and level of participation of women in political elections—especially in high-level political election—is an important measure of the development of democracy.There are many successful experience of foreign women’s participation in high-level political election.So the study on foreign women’s participation in high-level political election has been instructive to China.Promoting women’s participation in political elections is an important content of the construction of socialist political civilization. Improving women’s participation in political elections is the key to implement the basic national policy of gender equality.It’s also the key to promote harmonious development between men and women. This paper firstly introduce the theoretical basis and realitic basis of foreign women’s participation in high-level political elections. Then it analysis on case study through Park Geun-hye runing for president in2012and Dilma Rousseff runing for president in2010.Their successful experience will bring certain enlightement for our country.This paper is divided into five parts:Part Ⅰ:Introduction. The first part elaborates the research origin and significance of the subject, proposing the research issues. The second part sorts out current study from home and abroad, pointing out the characteristics and flaws of the study. The third part is about the researching content and methodology. The fourth part is about the innovations and flaws of this article. The last part is about relevant concepts.Part Ⅱ:The second part is the theoretical and realitic basis of foreign female’s participation in high-level political elections.The marxist feminism and the western feminism establish the theoretical basis for the research. Political multi-polarity and economic globalization, booming development of International Women’s movement, under the auspices of the UN and comprehensively improvement of female’s quality has laid a realitic foundation for the research. Part Ⅲ:The case study——Park Geun-hye ran for president in2012and Dilma Rousseff ran for president in2010.It analysis both two women’s presidential campaign in detail.It’s vivid to reproduce the whole process of the two presidential campaign. Finally, the common successful factors of Park and Dilma are good personal qualities, rich experience in government and good campaign strategy.Part Ⅳ:The fourth part analysis the successful experience of foreign female in high-level political election. Start from the special case of Park Geun-hye and Dilma Rousseff, summing up the general experience. Conform the knowledge law from the particular to the general.There are4successful experience in general:Providing effective policies and regulations, women NGO playing an active role, gender equal rculture and good personal qualities.Part Ⅴ:This part is the enlightenment for China. According to foreign experience,also4enlightenments are as follows:building sound mechanism for women’s selection and appointment, women NGO playing an active role, constructing socialist advanced gender culture and optimize the selection environment, and improve women’s comprehensive quality.The last part is the conclusion.Make a general summary for this paper.And predict the future development of this subject.
