"Reading loudly and clearly", a traditional teaching method, has an indispensable position in traditional Chinese language teaching. As a part of the curriculum of the nine-year compulsory education, Chinese courses in junior high school is a bridge to connect primary school and high school Chinese language curriculum. For the characteristics of the course in this phase, the teaching method of "reading loudly and clearly" is particularly important, In practical teaching, however, this teaching method cannot play an efficient role because of some teachers’ neglecting of its importance or improper application. So, it is quite necessary to do systematic analysis and study of the "reading loudly and clearly" method of Chinese language teaching in Junior high school.Based on the general requirements for the method of "reading loudly and clearly" in "full-time compulsory language curriculum standards ", this paper tends to discuss some optimization initiatives on the method of "reading loudly and clearly" in junior high school language teaching through documentation method and case study. Firstly, from the characteristics of reading and "reading loudly and clearly", the paper analyzes the current problems in this teaching method after combining with junior high school students learning characteristics. Then,the paper has a further research on specific reading methods to poetry, essay, novel and drama combining with specific analysis on Chinese texts of junior high school. At last, the paper summarizes the means of implementation so as to providing some reference to the Chinese teaching method of "reading loudly and clearly" in junior high school.
