With the new curriculum idea sinking deeper and deeper into people’s hearts, the creative and open thinking way as well as the learning method of cooperation and exploration are getting more and more people’s attention and favor. In order to adapt to the trend of the Times, help students develop the habits of independent thinking and questioning exploration, the Chinese textbooks of PEP edition for high schools in the new curriculum standard add a new section: "carding inquiry". Carding inquiry section is arranged in the five volumes of compulsory textbooks, presenting in the form of 15 thematic activities. Textbook editors hope that through the study of this section, students can cultivate their practice ability and innovation ability on the basis of the accumulation and integration of the basic knowledge, improve their Chinese accomplishment. This Chinese textbook of curriculum standard was put into trial use in a small area since 2004, and was generalized in the whole country until 2009. As a result, the time of using this teaching material is short, and the teaching status quo of carding inquiry section is not optimistic, and the practical teaching is far away from the teaching goal. The teaching situation hindered the implementation of new curriculum concept. Therefore, we must pay attention to the theory and practice research this of part so as to provide guidance for later teaching practice.This paper starts from the interpretation of new curriculum idea and course goal, conducts a systematic analysis on carding inquiry section from three aspects: setting background, scientificity and rationality of setting, content introduction, making readers have a comprehensive understanding of carding inquiry. Carding inquiry is a new section based on the matured exploratory teaching theory, in accordance with the Chinese subject characteristics, adapting to the psychological development of high school students. So we must attach more importance to this teaching part. The second part of this paper carries out investigation and study about the teaching present situation of carding inquiry, analyses the existing problems in the teaching from the concept of teacher ideas, teaching methods, teaching evaluation. The third part of this paper puts forward concrete suggestions on the teaching of the carding inquiry section through the analysis of the gap between the teaching practice and the teaching goal, according to the second part of the problem analysis, combining with the concrete teaching examples.The focus of this article is the analysis of the teaching present situation and the putting forwarding of teaching strategy. Author knows the the study status quo of carding inquiry by means of participation in teaching practice, serious classroom observations and questionnaires for students and puts forward teaching strategies through understanding teaching condition of the carding inquiry in different school by interviews with teachers from different schools, in accordance with the concrete teaching case. Carding inquiry teaching, which puts more emphasis on diversification of teaching method, teaching process and teaching evaluation, is different from traditional teaching of reading and writing. What’s more, in the practical teaching, the carding inquire requires teachers to change their roles, continuously explore in practice. The purpose of writing this article is to provide some reference for frontline teachers on carding inquiry teaching, improve the teaching effect of Chinese practice class.
